It’s the end of the line for The Irregulars at Netflix.

Fans hoping that Bea, Spike, Billy, and Jessie might return for some more crime solving fun were delivered some bad news on Tuesday (May 4).

According to Deadline, Netflix has officially pulled the plug on The Irregulars after just one season.

Set in London during the Victorian era, the series takes its cues from the works of Sherlock Homes scribe Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, the series hailed from Tom Bidwell (Watership Down) and starred Thaddea Graham (Letter for the King), McKell David (Black Mirror), Jojo Macari (Sex Education), and Darcy Shaw (The Bay).

It centered on a crew of troubled, supernatural teens who are coerced into solving crimes for Dr. John Watson (Royce Pierreson) and his mysterious partner, Sherlock Holmes (Henry Lloyd-Hughes).

Netflix has not disclosed why it has chosen to forgo renewing the series for a second season.

All eight episodes of The Irregulars’ first season debuted via Netflix on March 26 and are currently available to stream now.
