Netflix has just released a brand new trailer for Shadow and Bone and it’s bound to get you even more excited for the series to premiere!

Netflix kicked off the week with a treat for fans of author Leigh Bardugo’s Shadow and Bone who just can’t wait for the series adaptation to debut later on next month.

On Tuesday (March 30), the online streaming giant unveiled an all new trailer for the highly anticipated series adaptation. In addition to being chock-full of never before seen footage from the forthcoming series, it’s also jam-packed with action as viewers are treated to a glimpse of the dangerous adventure that lies ahead for Alina Starkov.

Based on author Leigh Bardugo’s best selling Grishaverse novels, Shadow and Bone takes place in a war-torn world. As the threat of the Shadow Fold looms, Alina finds herself torn from the life she knows as she sets off to train as part of an elite army of magical soldiers known as the Grisha.

Alina’s journey won’t be easy though. In addition to struggling to hone her powers, she’ll also grapple with who to trust when she quickly finds that allies and enemies can be one in the same. There’s also the matter of dangerous forces at play in a world where nothing is quite as it seems.

Starring Jessie Mei Li (Alina Starkov), Archie Renaux (Malyen Oretsev), Freddy Carter (Kaz Brekker), Amita Suman (Inej), Kit Young (Jesper Fahey), and Ben Barnes (General Kirigan), the forthcoming adaptation is written and executive produced by Eric Heisser.

Shadow and Bone season 1 premieres exclusively via Netflix on April 23, 2021.
