A Bridgerton spinoff prequel centered on Queen Charlotte is on the horizon over at Netflix!
Netflix has just delivered some exciting news to fans who just can’t get enough of the Bridgerton universe.
On Friday (May 14), the online streaming giant took to its socials to announce that a Bridgerton spinoff prequel limited series is officially in the works.
News of a spinoff prequel will be especially exciting for fans of the Queen as the new series plans to shine a spotlight on a young Queen Charlotte. Netflix’s announcement tweet also clues fans into the fact that they can expect to see a young Violet Bridgerton, as well as a young Lady Danbury pop up as part of the new limited series.

Behind the camera, Shonda Rhimes (whose Shondaland banner produces the flagship series adaptation of Julia Quinn’s historical romance novels) is set to write the Queen Charlotte limited series.
Currently, there’s no word on when we can expect to see the Queen Charlotte Bridgerton spinoff prequel debut via Netflix.
