Jamie Foxx and daughter, Corinne Foxx, are teaming up for a brand new comedy series coming down the pipeline at Netflix.

According to Variety, Netflix is giving the green light to a brand new comedy series titled Dad Stop Embarrassing Me, which hails from real life father daughter duo, Jamie Foxx and Corinne Foxx.

The Academy Award winner is set to star in the upcoming comedy, in addition to serving as a producer on the series alongside his daughter, as well as Alex Avant.

Joining Foxx in starring in the forthcoming family comedy is The Good Doctor vet Kyla Drew, who will play his on-screen daughter. In addition, David Alan Grier (A Soldier’s Play) will also star in the multi-camera comedy.

Other actors already on board to appear as series regulars include Porscha Coleman (Ballers), Jonathan Kite (2 Broke Girls), Heather Hemmens (Roswell: New Mexico), and Valente Rodriguez (The George Lopez Show).

No specific plot details for Dad Stop Embarrassing Me have been released, but what we do know is that the series is inspired by the Foxx’s real life father-daughter relationship.

Behind the camera, Bentley Kyle Evans (Martin) will serv as showrunner and executive producer. Meanwhile, Black-ish and Grace & Frankie) alum will serve as director for all of the episodes of the series.

Jamie and Corinne Foxx are no strangers to working in television together.

Currently, both father and daughter work together on Fox’s music based competition series, Beat Shazam. Foxx serves as host on the series in which contestants must identify popular songs in the fastest time possible, while Corinne serves as the hit series’ resident DJ.

Even so, it’s clear that Dad Stop Embarrassing Me will find both treading new waters in terms of their working relationship, so it’ll be interesting to see what the father-daughter pair end up cooking up for Netflix.
