It looks like all that fan rallying in defense of saving Brooklyn Nine-Nine paid off!
According to The Hollywood Reporter, NBC has officially picked up the beloved comedy for a 13-episode sixth season!
News of the revival comes hot off the heels of Fox announcing that they’d decided to axe the program on Thursday (May 10).
Though fans were hopeful the series would find a new home, things started looking dim earlier today when we learned that both Netflix and Hulu had passed on the show.
That being said, we’re incredibly excited to hear that NBC isn’t making the same mistake!
We’re excited to see where the series goes from here with its new network!

Brooklyn Nine-Nine won’t be finding its second wind via two of the web’s biggest online streaming platforms.
Fans of Fox’s popular cop comedy Brooklyn Nine-Nine were stunned yesterday when the network announced it was pulling the plug on the series after five seasons.
It wasn’t long before those very same fans took to Twitter to express their distaste over the matter while simultaneously launching a campaign in the hopes that another network might save the series.
Though the series might still find a new life in the hands of online streaming giants, it’s now looking like the beloved show won’t be finding a new home at Netflix or Hulu.
Per The Hollywood Reporter, Netflix has officially passed on picking up Brooklyn Nine-Nine.
Meanwhile, TV Line reports that a source at Hulu revealed to the outlet on Friday (May 11) evening that Hulu has officially decided to pass on the show.
As sad as it is to hear that Hulu won’t be stepping in to save Brooklyn Nine-Nine like they did with fellow Fox comedy The Mindy Project, that doesn’t mean fans should lose hope.
Though no one has stepped up to save the series yet, rumor has it that there are still a few other network that could be interested in saving it.
One such network is none other than TBS.
Though it might seem like an unlikely home for the show, it would actually make sense for the cable network to take a chance on it.
Currently, TBS is home to off-network repeats of Brooklyn Nine-Nine. Additionally, network president Kevin Reilly played a role in developing the series during its inception.
While it’s a long shot, we’re still hoping that the fan campaigning will be enough to entice a network to swoop in and take a chance on the recently cancelled comedy!
