Bad news for fans of Netflix’s Friends From College.

According to Deadline, Netflix has decided to pull the plug on the original comedy Friends From College.

The comedy series, which features a star-studded cast comprised of Keegan-Michael Key, Cobie Smulders, Annie Parisse, Nat Faxon, Fred Savage, Billy Eichner, and Jae Suh Park, was canceled after just two seasons on air.

News of the cancellation came straight from the series’ co-creator Nicholas Stoller, who took to Twitter to share the bad news with fans far and wide.

“Friends from College will not be returning for a third season,” tweeted the show runner on Monday (February 18) evening. “Thanks to everyone who watched it. Happy Presidents’ Day!”

Though Friends from College received mixed reviews during its short run, it seemed as though Netflix had high hopes for the series on the whole.

The comedy first premiered in July of 2017 and quickly received an eight-episode season two order just one month after it premiered.

Though Friends from College has run its course, you can still catch up on the show by streaming its second season, which premiered via Netflix on January 11, 2019.
