The final trailer for Netflix’s Ratched offers fans a taste of the iconic titular nurse’s origin story.

In her next Ryan Murphy production, actress Sarah Paulson plays the unforgettable Nurse Mildred Ratched— and if you thought she was terrifying in One Flew Over The Cuckoo’s Nest, it’s nothing compared to what’s in store for viewers in Netflix’s new series.

Clocking in at a whopping three minutes, the final trailer for Ratched finds Mildred reminiscing over her dark childhood before catapulting us decades into the future.

Set in 1947, the series finds Mildred arriving in Northern California to seek employment at a leading psychiatric hospital where new and unsettling experiments have begun on the human mind.

On the outside, Mildred is the epitome of picture perfect composure, but it’s clear that the facade only exists to lure those around her into a false sense of security.

As the trailer progresses, viewers get just a taste of the darkness that lingers under the surface.
