See Charlie Cox as the Daredevil in the first trailer for Netflix’s first Marvel adaptation series.

Netflix has entered a deal with Marvel to produce four superhero series based on Hell’s Kitchen characters, with a minimum of 13 episodes each.

First up is Daredevil, which follows a superhero blinded by radioactive waste, who uses his heightened senses to fight crime.

The streaming service has released the first full-length trailer for the series, which introduces the latest incarnation of the gritty hero:

“I’m not seeking forgiveness for what I’ve done, Father,” Cox says in the voice-over. “I’m asking forgiveness for what I’m about to do. I’m just trying to make my city a better place.”

Daredevil, otherwise known as Matt Murdock, seeks revenge for his father’s death, setting out to clean up New York City as he encounters iconic villains like Bullseye and the Kingpin.

The Netflix series features Charlie Cox as the title character, with Vincent D’Onofrio, Rosario Dawson, Ellen Henson and Deborah Ann Woll also starring.

All 13 episodes of Daredevil‘s first (and only?) season will premiere on April 10, only on Netflix.

Netflix will also produce series about the Hell’s Kitchen characters Jessica Jones, Iron Fist and Luke Cage.
