Netflix is gearing up to dive into the life of famed rapper, the Notorious B.I.G. in the brand new music documentary, Biggie: I Got A Story To Tell.

The online streaming giant released the first trailer for Biggie: I Got A Story To Tell on Monday (February 15), which teases just a handful of clips of interviews given by those who knew the rapper best.

Behind the camera, Emmet Malloy served as director on the project, which was made in collaboration with the rap legend’s estate. Producers on the project include Sean Combs, Voletta Wallace, Mark Pitts, Stanley Buchthal, and Emmett and Brendan Malloy.

Per the film’s longline, the intimate documentary promises to showcase rare footage filmed by the rapper’s best friend, Damion “D-Roc” Butler, as well as new interviews with the his closest friends, and family, revealing a side of the man born Christopher Wallace that the world never knew.

The first teaser trailer for the documentary, which you can check out below offers up a glimpse of B.I.G.’s life, from growing up on the streets, to blowing up over night, to all of the problems that came in between.

“Big had a gift of talent that saved a lot of peoples lives but his,” says one friend toward the end of the teaser.

Biggie: I Got A Story To Tell debuts via Netflix on March 1.
