Netflix published a new teaser to get fans ready for season 3 of 13 Reasons Why that also gives us the new season’s release date!

13 Reasons Why is heading into its third season, and the stakes are being raised yet again. Football player Bryce Walker has been killed, and everyone is under intense scrutiny. But, as we see in the teaser, anyone, if the circumstances were right, could be the one who committed this unthinkable act.

If this new teaser is any indication, season 3 is going to be an intense ride, and you’ll =want to watch the entire new season as quickly as you can.

13 Reasons Why season 3 picks up eight months after Tyler was stopped just before shooting his classmates at the Spring Fling. However, as Clay, Tony, Jessica, Alex, Justin, and Zach work to cover up the event and help Tyler toward recovery, Clay finds himself under police scrutiny for the disappearance of Bryce Walker.

Of course, as the police will soon find out (and as we see expressed in the teaser), there are quite a lot of people who could potentially be responsible for Bryce’s disappearance and death. It will be up to Sheriff Deputy Bill Standall (Mark Pellegrino) to sift through the evidence and uncover everyone’s secrets to find the truth about what happened to Bryce.

If you simply can’t wait for season 3, you can help Deputy Standall find the murderer. If you head to the aptly named whokilledbrycewalker.com (access it on your mobile device, not your computer) you can offer the Deputy some tips on who you think the murderer is. Just be warned, the experience does record audio and video, so be prepared for that!

The new season is going to be a wild ride, clearly. Happily, we don’t have to wait too long for 13 Reasons Why season 3. The new season will premiere only on Netflix on August 23.

The streamer also announced today that the show has already been renewed for a fourth season, and that season will be its last.
