Neil Patrick Harris appeared on Jimmy Kimmel Live! last night to preview Sunday’s Oscars ceremony.
The 2015 Academy Awards celebration takes place this Sunday, and Neil Patrick Harris is busier than ever prepping for his biggest hosting gig yet.
But he took time out to appear on Jimmy Kimmel Live! last night to give Jimmy and the viewers some juicy hints about what we can expect from Sunday’s show.
“We’re knee-deep in Oscar crap,” Harris says, and adds that everything is going alright… ish.
Apparently, it was a bit of a problem that Amy Poehler and Tina Fey stole all the best jokes at the Golden Globes.
It’s also an issue of how to load the jokes – do you want to make fun of the nominees and risk pissing them off? Hopefully some big scandal will break this week and he can poke fun at that!
Of course this isn’t Harris’ first award show. Does he still get star-struck?
He reflects on hosting the Tonys, and that time Brett Michaels got injured and he had to make a decision about what he’d have to do if someone had gotten really hurt.
Finally, Harris talks about his “magic room,” complete with a secret door. It sounds amazing and also kind of kinky, no?
