Television star Neil Patrick Harris married longtime boyfriend David Burtka over the weekend in Italy.
Harris made the announcement via a post on Twitter which included a photo of he and Burtka tying the knot:
Guess what? @DavidBurtka and I got married over the weekend. In Italy. Yup, we put the 'n' and 'd' in 'husband'. pic.twitter.com/R09ibF41rt

According to reports, Harris and Burtka were married by How I Met Your Mother producer and director Pam Fryman, who is a friend of the family.
Reports indicate that the couple’s friend Elton John performed at their wedding reception.
Harris and Burtka have been together since 2004. The couple had two adorable twins named Gideon and Harper via a surrogate mother in 2010. They got engaged in June 2011.
