Fresh from the reveal of its fall schedule, NBC has released promo trailers for upcoming new dramas from J.J. Abrams, Ryan Murphy and more!

While Alcatraz hardly fared well, and Fringe has begun its swansong, J.J. Abrams is one of the few stars of television that can sell a series on his name alone. The Lost co-creator will produce Revolution, a post-apocalyptic sci-fi series which explores what could happen if the world’s technology suddenly stopped working. This lengthy promo hints at the scope of the new series, which will star Twilight‘s Billy Burke. The series will be written by Eric Kripke (creator of Supernatural), and directed by Jon Favreau (Iron Man).

Ryan Murphy’s new family comedy seems to be treading familiar ground. The creator of American Horror Story will produce The New Normal, which tells the story of a gay couple seeking a surrogate mother. The heavy focus on LGBT characters is very similar to Murphy’s Glee. Starring Jayson Blair (The Hard Times of RJ Berger), Justin Bartha (The Hangover) and Ellen Barkin (The Big Easy), The New Normal could be one of next year’s breakout comedy hits.

NBC also released videos for Go On, Animal Practice, Guys With Kids, and Chicago Fire – all of which can be viewed on their official website.

What do you think of the promos – could we have a new Lost or Glee on our hands?
