It was reported today that Naya Rivera, who plays Santana Lopez, has been written out of the Glee season 5 finale. Find out everything we know about the casting changes.

The NY Daily News was first to report early Tuesday that we may not be seeing anymore of Glee’s resident vixen this season. Not only has Naya been written out of the finale, but it is also going around that she has been banned from the set completely and will not be returning for Glee’s sixth and final season.

The exact reasoning for this abrupt change is still unclear but the rumor mill surrounding Naya has been buzzing ever since she called off her six month long engagement to rapper Big Sean earlier this month.

Apparently relations between Naya and Glee’s main star Lea Michele have been tense at best. Some sources are claiming that Naya was over Lea’s diva behavior while others are blaming the feud on Naya’s “jealousy” of Lea’s story lines. Another wild accusation that came earlier in the month was that Lea was caught texting Naya’s fiancé.

We’re not sure how much of this we really believe and we know to always take behind the scenes rumors with a grain of salt but something is definitely going on.

Fox has yet to release a statement and the only official information we have comes from Naya’s rep saying, “Any reports or rumors circulating that Naya Rivera was let go or fired from Glee are absolutely untrue. End of story.”

A finale without Santana is sure to be a bummer but what will really hit the fans hard will be the lack of anymore Brittana. Heather Morris is slated to appear in the season 5 finale and we were all looking forward to seeing the couple together after their adventure to Lesbos Island.
