Wildly successful U.K. podcast, My Dad Wrote A Porno, is embarking on its first U.S. tour, with talks of an adaptation on the horizon.

Created in 2015 by Jamie Morton and James Cooper, prolific creatives in British television, as well as Radio 1 DJ, Alice Levine, My Dad Wrote A Porno became a near-instant cult hit amongst its audience.

It follows the exploits of Belinda Blumenthal, the central character of Morton’s father’s series of novels, which are, as the podcast title suggests, pornographic. On the podcast, Morton, Cooper and Levine read excerpts from the books, which Morton’s father writes under the penname Rocky Flinstone, and provide colorful commentary.

The podcast’s third season recently concluded, and it had over 100 million downloads.

The trio have already taken the podcast on the road in the U.K., Australia, and New Zealand. The live show recreates parts of the novels with audience participation, and offers them the opportunity to try out things that just aren’t possible in an audio-only format. Levine also presents a Powerpoint about the female reproductive system.

My Dad Wrote A Porno is now embarking on its first U.S. tour. Tickets are available from the podcast website, with the locations and dates as follows:

Speaking to Deadline, Morton also hinted that an adaptation is likely to find itself in the works in the near future.

“We’ve had a lot of exciting conversations,” Morton told Deadline. “A lot of people have come to us to say they love the show and we’ve had a lot of interest in lots of different ways. The thing is it could go in so many different ways, it could be a musical, films, TV shows. There’s loads of conversations going on, but we just want to make sure that whatever we do is right by Belinda.”

My Dad Wrote A Porno has no shortage of celebrity fans – amongst them Daisy Ridley, Elijah Wood, Rachel Bloom and Thomas Middleditch, all of whom have appeared on episodes themselves. Should the adaptation come to fruition, we’d imagine several of them will by vying for a role.
