Through the band’s Twitter account today Muse released the first trailer for its next album .

The band has progressed again into a new area of music, this time combining its signature style with dubstep and adding a splash of Orchestral music laced with political, economical, social, and environmental undertones.

Matt Bellamy teased fans about the trailer’s arrival through his own Twitter account a few days ago, saying:

“All natural and technological processes proceed in such a way that the availability of the remaining energy decreases.”
“In all energy exchanges, if no energy enters or leaves an isolated system, the entropy of that system incre, cre, cre, cre,c,c,creases.”
“Energy continuously flows from being concentrated, to becoming dispersed, spread out, wasted and useless.”
“New energy cannot be created and high grade energy is being destroyed. An economy based on endless growth is…”

These tweets are all lines said by a female news reporter in the video. See the video in the embed below:

In my opinion the band has outdone itself again, creating something extraordinary and distinctly its own, while not repeating the same type of music in each album.

Do you feel the band has evolved too far from its original album Showbiz? Do you see this as a negative impact on its fandom?

The 2nd Law drops in September.
