The Muppets 2 announced some exciting plot and casting news!

Collider is reporting that the sequel to last year’s Muppets film, which was the first in twelve years, will have the Muppets causing chaos in Europe. Marc Graser from Variety reported via Twitter that Christoph Waltz will play an Interpol agent and be the film’s villain.

Muppets director James Bobin has been working on this script with Muppets co-writer Nicholas Stoller. Earlier this year, Jason Segel, who was the main force behind the creation of The Muppets, confirmed he won’t be returning to work on the sequel, but it’s possible he’ll make a cameo. There hasn’t been any talk if Amy Adams will return or not. In April, we reported that Disney released the first Muppets 2 poster.

We’re excited about the news that Muppets 2 will take place in Europe! We’re thinking they’ll at least go to Paris, since we learned in last year’s film that Miss Piggy was working for Vogue Paris as the editor for plus sizes. Who knows where else the Muppets could end up! Spain? Germany? Perhaps Sweden, so the Swedish Chef could visit his native homeland?

Leave us your thoughts below about where you want the Muppets to visit in Europe, and also your thoughts about Waltz as the villain!

Until we find out more Muppets 2 news…mahna mahna.
