Mumford and Sons are back. The foursome have released their first single off upcoming sophomore album Babel – “I Will Wait.”

The band debuted “I Will Wait” and four other new songs from the upcoming album at a Hoboken, N.J. tour stop last week. Listen to the studio version of the single below.

Band member Ben Lovett compared the band’s latest album to their first, Sigh No More, in an interview with 3FM at the Netherlands’ Pinkpop Festival in May.

“There’s similarities, yeah,” Lovett said. “Nothing’s really changed in our dynamic as a band. We write songs together and they’re very much based in our experiences. The instruments are pretty much the same, except for a few we’ve picked up along the way. For the most part, it’s a progression. We don’t want to reinvent ourselves.”

The folk rockers will be on tour in the United States through August.

Babel is due Sept. 24 in the U.K. and Sept. 25 in the U.S. What do you think of “I Will Wait”?
