Duchess of Sussex, Meghan Markle has dealt with a lot of family drama, and it seems it’s not ending anytime soon with the news of her nephew’s casting on MTV’s The Royal World.

When MTV announced The Royal World, a reality show similar to The Real World that focused on the lives of members of royal families around the world, we were incredibly curious who would be in the cast. It seems that the show isn’t just casting actual royals themselves, but also people related to royalty, like the nephew of Meghan Markle, Tyler Dooley.

The first promo for The Royal World teased the appearance of Dooley, the son of Meghan Markle’s half-brother Thomas Markle Jr. While the rest of the cast actually have direct claims to some form of royalty, Dooley’s is significantly more indirect. Still, with all of the headline-grabbing that some members of the Markle family have been engaged in since the Duchess of Sussex’s marriage to Prince Harry, it’s not surprising that MTV jumped on the chance to capitalize on that family drama.

As the Huffington Post reports, Dooley is a 25-year-old who owns a cannabis company called Royally Grown. Dooley has tried his best to show his support for his “Auntie Meghan” as he calls her, even developing a special strain of cannabis with his mom called Markle Sparkle to celebrate Markle’s wedding.

For his part, Dooley doesn’t so much want to play into the family drama that his aunt Samantha Markle and grandfather, Thomas Markle Sr. have been in the headlines for. Instead, he just wants to show his support for the Duchess.

As he said in a clip for MTV, “Honestly with all the controversy in my family, all I wanted to do was show my support,” adding that his favorite royal is, “my lovely Aunt Meghan, cause honestly ― I don’t know anyone else in the royal family.”

It will be interesting to see how Dooley integrates with the other royals on the show, but we’ll have to wait for the royal drama to unfold when The Royal World premieres on MTV on November 7.
