Following talk of a Black Panther film earlier this month, several rumours have emerged about two new films at Marvel Studios.

Firstly, it appears that Edgar Wright’s Ant-Man is moving closer to production. Bleeding Cool reports that several comic book stores in London have received requests for lots of Ant-Man comics in any condition. Although this doesn’t seem too important and does not come from the most reliable source, these stores are allegedly surrounded by movie studio offices and production companies. Furthermore, the requests are quite specific, looking for Ant-Man’s “echo time locator” and when asked if the customers were working on the film they appeared shocked and avoided a direct answer.

Although we do not know where or when Ant-Man will be filmed, it is likely that some production will take place in the U.K. Edgar Wright is a British director and Captain America: The First Avenger filmed in England whilst Thor 2 is filming scenes there later this summer. Even if this is related to the Ant-Man film, it appears to be in the very early stages and the issues requested were likely just references for creating pre-production concept art.

In other Marvel film news, the company has filed several trademarks for The Guardians of The Galaxy. The trademarks cover everything from computer games and entertainment to furniture and jewelry. Although this may be related to a rumoured new comic book featuring the team, it is more likely to be related to a film and may signal that Marvel is preparing to move forward with a Guardians film.

Are you excited to see any of these characters come to film and are there any others you would like to see join the Marvel Cinematic Universe?
