Hypable sat down with Orlando Jones earlier today and we got some exclusive information about the third season of Sleepy Hollow!!
When we spoke to Jones earlier today he had a lot to say about fandom involvement and diversity, and he even gave us a couple of scoops about season 3 of Sleepy Hollow! Check out the second half of our interview below.
When we talked to Jones about the second season, he was able to give us a tease regarding Ichabod and the second horseman. We asked him what he could share, and he said “You’ll learn a lot more about Ichabod Crane and his backstory. It gets really, almost complicated. There’s some really juicy stuff that starts to happen because the second horseman is here – so that has to mean more creatures.”
What exactly does that mean for the town of Sleepy Hollow? If these new creatures are anything like the ones we encountered in the first season, we’re expecting some serious trouble in the second season.
We also talked to Orlando about other aspects of the second season.
Hypable: Is filming the second season any different than the first
Jones: I think it’s always different in the second season because there’s a different set of expectations when the show has been successful, and you know that always puts a lot more pressure on the show and the people involved. You’re getting to know the characters but there’s new writers, so there’s a lot of things going on.
Second season is always a difficult time, a challenging time. I’d like to think we’ve done the best we can, and hopefully the audience will bare with us and appreciate what we’re doing and like the way the story is evolving and changing.
The story is really growing, and changing and evolving and getting really interesting. I’m hoping people stick with us as we lay the ground work – because I feel like shows don’t really hit their stride until season 3.
This show is crazy good, and everything that’s happening right now is so awesome.
Yeah, man. I don’t mean to down play it, but I’m super excited about it. It’s always tough for me to answer questions about the season because I haven’t seen the first episode yet. I saw the pilot, and was able to be like “It’s awesome!” but not the [second season premiere] yet.
