Following the debut of the first theatrical trailer for the Monsters, Inc. prequel Monsters University, actor John Goodman debuted the first scene from the film on NBC’s Late Night with Jimmy Fallon!

In the scene, young Mike and Sulley are in their college dorm when a pig-like character intrudes and needs to be removed. The two monsters, who are not friends at this stage of their relationship, work together to take care of the problem.

Once the creature’s been captured, Mike asks Sulley to leave the dorm so he can focus on his studies. It’s at this point that the two finally learn each other’s names, and presumably a friendship begins to blossom. But another chase ensues, and that pending friendship will have to be delayed just a bit longer.
