We’re just a week away from the release of Disney Pixar’s Monsters University, and in the latest clip we see a critical moment in Mike and Sulley’s relationship.

In the scene below, Mike is desperate for one more student to join his team so that his fraternity can compete in The Scare Games. By winning the tournament, Mike (and eventually Sulley) will be able to join an important program at the university.

As you’ll see, Mike is resistant to Sulley joining his Scare Games team when he first offers. However, Mike is left with no choice.

Mike and Sulley are voiced by Billy Crystal and John Goodman. In recent interviews with Hypable, the duo spoke about why this film hits the heart of young adults who are in any level of school. “I was at USC a couple weeks ago, and we screened the movie for about 400 film students,” said Crystal. “They went berserk because it’s them. It’s them. They’re making decisions in their lives, like Mike and Sulley are in this.”

Monsters University opens in theaters Friday, June 21. Check out our review of the film where we award it an A- and tell you why it touched us. The movie is a prequel to the original story Monsters, Inc. in which Mike and Sulley work together on the scare floor of the factory to produce screams and turn them into energy for Monstropolis.
