Now that the family is back from vacation, it’s time to get back to business as usual. For them that means getting ready for another family portrait. But this time Gloria is putting it all together and it becomes a bit of an obsession for her.
As she plans the portrait, Jay will be taking on a new role himself – as a dog show handler. But he doesn’t want anyone in the family to know his plans to show Stella in a competition.
Although she’s not organizing the portrait this year, Claire still has plenty of drama of her own. She gets upset when Cam doesn’t seem to want to use hand-me-downs from Alex and Haley. And Phil fails to help her out with a task at the house.

“Phil fails at his one task to stay home and wait for the repairman, forcing him to tell an elaborate lie to hide the truth from Claire, but the stress is more than he can physically handle. Meanwhile, Gloria is obsessing over the family portrait she is responsible for organizing this year. Claire accuses Cam of being too snobby to use her girls’ hand-me-downs and Jay secretly enters Stella in a dog show, on “Modern Family,” WEDNESDAY, APRIL 30 (9:00-9:31 p.m., ET), on the ABC Television Network.
