The cast of Modern Family is about to get even crazier, as Dana Powell has signed on to appear as Cam’s sister in season 5!
So far very little is known about the character Powell will be playing, or for how long. According to TV Line, the character is described as sassy, colorful, and a believable likeness to Cam. It’s also been revealed that Cam and his sister share a competitive relationship.
The story line surrounding her arrival is not yet known. However, last month E! Online reported that Cam and Mitch might finally tie the knot.
Eric Stonestreet (who plays Cam) teased that the creators, “have both said that’s in the cards. They have an idea of where they want to take the characters from beginning, middle and end this season and if it ends in that direction then I think that would be nice.”
So perhaps Cam’s sister is coming down to offer support while Cam and Mitch prepare for their wedding? Fans will have to wait and see!
