The final film in The Hunger Games series, Mockingjay, Part 2, hits theaters in less than six months, but you wouldn’t know it based on promotion so far.

Fans are eager to see Katniss take on President Snow in the fourth and final Hunger Games movie, and as such, they’re eager for any information about the first big Mockingjay, Part 2 trailer which has yet to see the light of day.

Sure, there was the first Mockingjay, Part 2 teaser trailer — released in March — which included audio of Katniss telling rebels to “turn your weapons to the Capitol,” but that one little line is the only bit of material we’ve directly received from the film so far. In other words, not too much to get excited about, but impactful nonetheless:

Because Catching Fire and Mockingjay, Part 1 were both released in November, we can look at their promotional schedules to figure out when Part 2’s promo train will begin to roll.

The first teaser trailers for Mockingjay, Part 1 — those excellent viral videos depicting President Snow and Peeta — actually didn’t debut until late June 2014. That means we have another month to go until we get a proper look at Mockingjay, Part 2, if history is any indication.

But since this is the final film in The Hunger Games franchise (until the spinoff!), and thus a big deal, perhaps Lionsgate will want to get the ball rolling earlier. Then again, starting things too early may overwhelm the average moviegoer and turn them off from being interested in seeing the movie by the time November arrives.

Last year’s viral videos left us hoping that there would be a final video in which Katniss takes over President Snow’s feed and shares a message with the citizens of Panem. That never happened, unfortunately, but perhaps Lionsgate has been saving such a thing for the Mockingjay, Part 2 promotion. At least that’s what we hope!

When do you think we’ll get to see a real ‘Mockingjay, Part 2’ trailer?

The Hunger Games: Mockingjay, Part 2 hits theaters November 20, 2015. While Part 1 didn’t perform at the box office as strongly as Catching Fire did, one can assume that the turn out will be strongest for the grand finale, because the masses will surely be interested in seeing how Katniss saves Panem from Snow.
