Nine deleted scenes will be included with The Hunger Games: Mockingjay, Part 1 when it hits DVD, Blu-ray, and Digital HD.

Descriptions of the Mockingjay, Part 1 deleted scenes offer our first glimpse into the additional material that was shot but didn’t make the final cut seen in theaters last year.

While it’s hard to tell what some of these scenes include, a couple are clear: “I’m Not Asking” is a scene between Peeta and President Snow that actor Donald Sutherland praised in a recent interview. “Hummingbirds,” we can safely assume, refers to the scene in the book where Katniss and Beete visit the manmade Hummingbird meadow and chat about wings.

The Mockingjay, Part 1 deleted scenes, as described on the British Board of Film Classification, are as follow:

Scene 4 – Katniss and Boggs walk through District 13 (0:32)
Scene 19 – Katniss leaves District 12 (0:46)
Scene 41 – Beetee reaches District 8 (1:04)
Scene 47 – I’m Not Asking (3:01)
Scene 49-50 – Hummingbirds (2:14)
Scene 52 – Face of a Revolution (0:50)
Scene 56 – We’re Still in the Game (1:07)
Scene 76 – Snow sees Propo (0:25)
Scene 83 – Cressida preps Katniss and Gale (0:44)

The deleted scenes total nearly 11 minutes of additional footage.

Many of the scenes look like they’re going to be worth checking out. We’re sure Sutherland pulled off another chilling performance in “Scene 76” as his character watches Katniss encouraging Panem to rise up. Speaking of Snow, we can’t wait to see the three-minute scene in which he and Peeta interact directly with one another.
