Another television commercial for The Hunger Games: Mockingjay, Part 1 has been released by the film’s partner Samsung, and this one ushers in the tears.

This is the second Mockingjay TV spot to surface this week, and this one is as tear-worthy as the last.

It’s a bit mean to do this to us when we still have a month to go until the film hits theaters. How are we supposed to cope?

“What’s happening?” Prim asks Katniss in the comfort of their home at the beginning of the commercial. Katniss appears to be refusing to talk about the problems she faces. “I’m good at keeping secrets – even from mom,” Prim tells her older sister after continuing to resist.

“Everyone’s either going to want to kiss you, kill you, or be you,” Effie tells Katniss, in what is our first look at Elizabeth Banks’ character in District 13 garb since her teaser poster.

And the hardest scene to watch of them all: Katniss watching Peeta’s message to the people of Panem. A tear rolls down Peeta’s face to emphasize the dangers of war. Katniss cries in response. “What did they do to you?” she asks the television screen.

So far, a big focal point of the promotional footage has been Peeta’s speech to the people of Panem. Readers will recall that he’s under control of the Capitol in these scenes.

Mockingjay, Part 1 opens in theaters November 21. Tickets go on sale on October 29 – a week from today!

We’ll continue to share new television commercials/previews so long as each has something new worth reporting.
