A new still reveals that Misty Knight will look a little bit different in Luke Cage season 2, but definitely in the “even cooler than before” kind of way.

The new still contains spoilers for The Defenders, so be proceed with caution!

In the image, released by Entertainment Weekly, actress Simone Missick sporting a bionic right arm — exactly the enhancement that Misty Knight is known for in the comics. After a close call/fakeout in Luke Cage, Misty lost her arm to Bakudo’s wicked blade at the end of The Defenders.

The origins of Misty Knight’s new arm are hinted at in The Defenders as well. When Colleen Wing visits the convalescing detective, she tells Misty that the hospital (owned by Danny Rand) (of course) is incredibly advanced. Presumably Danny’s interest has paid off, shooting Misty to the top of the badass replacement appendages list.

In Marvel comics, Misty Knight and Colleen Wing become close friends and team up to fight crime as the Daughters of the Dragon. It’s not clear whether that development will unfold in Luke Cage season 2, but Jeph Loeb did tease Misty Knight’s involvement in Iron Fist season 2 at San Diego Comic-Con — so fans can almost certainly look forward to some badass female fighting action at some point down the road.

In the meantime, Misty’s new arm creates even more excitement for Luke Cage season 2, which will hit Netflix next year.
