Tom Cruise rides motorcycles and hangs off the side of a plane in the first Mission Impossible: Rogue Nation teaser trailer, with the official synopsis giving us an idea of where the fifth film in the series will be taking us.

In the first Mission Impossible: Rogue Nation full-length trailer we see Cruise climbing on plane wings, hanging off plane doors, and doing everything you expect the spy-playing action junkie to be doing in the first footage from Mission Impossible 5. Watch the film’s first teaser below:

In case you missed the teaser trailer, which included a lot different footage from the film, we’ve included Mission Impossible: Rogue Nation’s teaser trailer from last night:

The official synopsis for Mission Impossible: Rogue Nation has been revealed: :The new flick finds Hunt’s highly effective but destructive Impossible Mission Force (IMF) disbanded by vengeful Washington bureaucrats such as the CIA chief (played by Alec Baldwin). But Hunt pulls his team together (Jeremy Renner, Simon Pegg, Ving Rhames and newcomer Rebecca Ferguson) to battle the shadowy force known as “The Syndicate” and its elusive leader (Sean Harris).”

Tom Cruise is working with Paramount again, who he worked with on the highly successful Mission Impossible remake in 1996, and will reprise one of his most memorable and successful roles of his career. The studio has also released the first poster for the film, featuring Cruise hanging off the side of a massive plane:

Actors Jeremy Renner, Ving Rhames, and fan favorite Simon Pegg will also be reprising their roles from Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol, which was one of the more well-received Mission Impossible films, coming in at a 93% on film review site Rotten Tomatoes. The original cast will be joined by actress Rebecca Ferguson, veteran actor Alec Baldwin, and Prometheus actor Sean Harris.

While their next film will be competing against some incredible films coming out during 2015, they did have massive success with Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol in December of 2011, when it pulled in nearly $700 million worldwide. But, it looks like the studio is shooting for a summer release this time, and we imagine if anything that’ll increase its chances of becoming another blockbuster.

Despite some of Tom Cruise’s recent films, his Mission Impossible franchise has always been some of his most exciting films, and with the most recent film in the series being such a critical and financial success, we can’t wait to see what the talented cast has in store for fans in July.

Mission Impossible: Rogue Nation will hit theaters and IMAX July 31.
