Well. This is something a little bit different. Fans of the Mission: Impossible franchise scaled Pulpit Rock for an open-air screening of Fallout.

Pulpit Rock (also known as Preikestolen), which sits 2000 feet above Lysefjorden, is the most visited natural tourist attraction in Norway. It featured heavily in Fallout, with Tom Cruise filming several death-defying scenes at the location. This made it an appropriate, if slightly unusual, location for the movie screening.

In a post shared to lead actor Tom Cruise’s Twitter, he commended the fans for their hike and climb, wishing that he could have been there with them. As Cruise is known for doing his own stunts, it wouldn’t be difficult to imagine that the sentiment was entirely genuine.

In a Norway Today article, it was confirmed that the event was organized in order to promote the location — as, on screen, it was transposed to Kashmir in India.

Following the screening, which wrapped up at around 1:30 a.m. local time, the climbers had to make their way back down the cliff. Though the way was illuminated by 200 spotlights, climbers were also encouraged before the event to bring head torches.
