A wedding appears to be set for Muppets Most Wanted when it hits theaters this spring. Today, new details about Miss Piggy’s wedding dress were revealed by Disney.
In a press release this morning, Disney revealed that Miss Piggy’s wedding dress for Muppets Most Wanted was designed by Vivienne Westwood.
Westwood spoke to Harpers Bazaar for their March issue in which they feature Miss Piggy’s dress.
“The dress is one of my favorite styles. It’s called the Court dress and is inspired by 17th-century English royalty and the court of King Charles II. It has been designed especially for you in a white pearl sequin fabric made from recycled water bottles. It’s the perfect choice for a royal sow.”
Added Miss Piggy, “Vivienne Westwood is fabulous—just like moi. When I asked her to design this wedding dress for moi’s new movie ‘Muppets Most Wanted,’ she was thrilled and I was thrilled. The only one a bit ‘iffy’ about it was the Frog.”

Disney and Miss Piggy won’t confirm if a wedding actually takes place in Muppets Most Wanted (“You’ll have to see the movie to find out,” insisted Miss Piggy), so we hope the surprise can remain a secret until the film’s March 21 opening day.
The Muppets sequel includes all of your favorite puppets alongside live-action co-stars Tina Fey, Ricky Gervais, and Ty Burrell. Several other high-profile actors, like Tom Hiddleston, will make cameos.
