There’s more of Miss Peregrine’s Peculiar Children coming your way this fall!

According to USA Today, the fourth book in author Ransom Riggs’ Miss Peregrine’s Peculiar Children series is officially set to debut on October 2.

Titled A Map of Days will actually find the adventure taking place state-side in America.

The new book picks up after Jacob Portman has helped save the peculiars from a monstrous threat. After the dust settles from their dangerous escape, Jacob finds himself returning to his home in Florida with Miss Peregrine, Emma and the rest of their friends in tow.

Once there, Jacob and the rest of the gang will find themselves having to figure out how to blend into life in the present day — not an easy feat given that Jacob’s previous journey found him traveling all the way back to 1940!

As Riggs explains it, putting Jacob back into his natural habitat and having the peculiars be the “fish-out-of-water” makes for a fun switch up.

“I’ve been having lots of fun turning that on its head, throwing his peculiar friends into the equally alien-to-them world of modern-day America,” Riggs told USA Today.

Figuring out how to blend in won’t be the only thing Jacob and the peculiars find themselves up to in the new book.

The characters will also find themselves trying to figure out how to map the mysterious loops in America.

“The loops of America are largely unmapped and unknown, however — especially to Miss Peregrine and her European counterparts — so ending and/or creating an American Map of Days quickly becomes a priority for them, if not an obsession,” hints Riggs.

A Map of Days: the fourth novel of Miss Peregrine’s Peculiar Children by Ransom Riggs will be released on Tuesday, October 2.
