An astonishing figure for any game, Mojang’s tree-punching hit continues to grow in popularity. That’s not the only impressive number that Minecraft can boast.

Of the 25 million users who have downloaded the game, almost 5.4 million have purchased it; netting Mojang $80 million in revenue, as reported in the Financial Times. Over the past 24 hours alone, over 61,000 people registered to Minecraft.net and 7,600 people bought the game. You can watch the numbers continue to increase over at Minecraft‘s official website.

With an Xbox 360 version to come in May, we can expect to see a further boost to those figures.
