Mindy Kaling’s Instagram is a wealth of knowledge for anyone who craves a behind-the-scenes look into the lives of the funny and fashionable.

After putting our sleuthing (okay, Insta-stalking) to work, we’ve compiled 15 images Mindy Kaling has posted on the social media platform that we can assume/infer about the second half of The Mindy Project season 4. Will all of these assumptions be right? Of course not! But this is just fun and games. We’ll have to wait until tomorrow, April 12, and beyond to find out what really happens.

Any of these pictures could indicate dreams sequences, flash-forwards, flash-backwards, or flash-sideways (thanks, Lost), but we’re presuming they are happening in real-time, in real life. Plus, knowing Kaling’s sense of humor and apparent love to tease, her ambiguous captions often leave fans wondering if she’s kidding, hinting or deceiving.

Quick recap to refresh your memory: At the end of season 4, episode 13, Mindy had left baby Leo with her fiancé, Danny, whom she’d been arguing with and had been on the rocks with for a few weeks at the time, and crept back to her old apartment under the cloak of night. We see her measure her massive walk-in closet to see if it’d fit Leo’s crib, and then a look of anguish crosses her face.

There is a severe lack of engagement ring throughout all of her on-set pictures, so we have to assume that Danny and Mindy at the very least call off their engagement for the time being. But there’s nothing to fear yet, Manny (Dindy?) fans, as Chris Messina makes a few appearances in these pictures so it doesn’t look like he is going anywhere, yet… but stay tuned.

Images are arranged in chronological order from Kaling’s Instagram.

Rishi Lahiri is back!

Judging by the headphones and pastry box, he is still an aspiring DJ and, well, he bought pastries.

Ike Barinholtz will direct his second episode of the series.

Barinholtz, who plays Morgan Tookers on the show and serves as frequent writer and producer, directed his first episode, season 3, episode 19 “Confessions of a Cyatho-Holic,” last year.

Nothing much to analyze in this picture…

…featuring Danny and Mindy in an elevator, as they have been dozens of times on the show, except the entire caption: “Pull me closer if you think you can hang.” That’s quite an innocuous line for someone you’re not intimate with, Mindy.

Part deux: “Trouble trouble trouble” with Mindy on-screen giving her regular side-eye that we can only assume will have a monologue voiced over it.

The subjects (Ike and Xosha Roquemore) of this picture are less interesting than the objects in this picture.

Lots of chairs and stacks on stacks of plates in the background indicate that Mindy is having a gathering of some sort in her apartment. A meeting? A party? A ceremony?

This picture is nothing more than two people…

…who are in love until I decide otherwise, sitting shoulder-to-shoulder in a softly lit room wearing grey t-shirts. This picture is absolutely nothing more than that.

Is Mindy hitchhiking? Is she lost?

She’s seen here, filming episode 421, standing on a curb in matching shoes and skirt ensemble, “depending on the kindness of strangers.” It’s worth noting that 421 is the third-to-last episode of the season, and the title (“Under the Texan Sun”) indicates Mindy will make a journey to Texas.

A bowl of popcorn, some kind of drink, no engagement ring, her own apartment, posted three weeks ago.

Peculiar.

Anders Holm returns to ‘The Mindy Project’!

Pastor Casey, and Mindy’s ex-fiancé, is back in action! Of all of Mindy’s flames (which have admittedly been numerous) he was perhaps the most serious about their relationship, second only to Danny.

Okay, we really don’t have a good idea about what’s going on in this picture.

It’s evident Mindy & Co. take a trip out to Princeton, but the “why” seems vague. At any rate, here Mindy is pictured wearing an amazing Cartier bracelet, Dolce & Gabbana dress and a “Princeton Charming.” This trip also seems to feature Dr. Jody Kimball-Kinney and actress Maria Thayer.

A quick outfit change, Mindy sports an off-the-shoulder Princeton sweater.

But why? Her caption, “back to school,” is as vague as anything else the woman posts.

‘Coming soon’…

Is this evidence of a Mindy/Danny reconciliation? She is wearing a ring on her ring finger. Though, that is of course not really indicative of anything.

‘The Mindy Project’ returns Tuesday, April 12 on Hulu.
