It looks like new Miley Cyrus music could be just around the corner!

Miley Cyrus sent fans into a frenzy on Tuesday (August 4), when the pop star took to Twitter to tease the new music is on the horizon!

Perhaps even more exciting than the prospect of new tunes is the way Cyrus chose to break the news to fans far and wide.

Instead of showing off some new concept art for future singles, Cyrus treated fans to a throwback music video clips from early on in her career.

“Meet Miley Cyrus…again. #SheIsComing #ButForREalThisTime,” tweeted the pop star along with some footage of her 2007 hit, “Start All Over.”

Fans who’ve been following the star since her days starring as Hannah Montana on the Disney Channel will likely know that the single in question comes from Cyrus’ 2007 debut album, which also happens to be titled Meet Miley Cyrus.

Meanwhile, her choice of hashtag harkens back to last year’s extended play EP, She Is Coming, which was released just last year on May 31, 2019.

Though it’s fun to see Cyrus embracing her past while teasing new music, it doesn’t sound as though fans should expect the new era of Miley to find the pop star going back to her roots.

A few hours after her initial tweet, Cyrus returned to share a short tease of one of the new tracks she’s got coming down the pipeline.

If the vibe of track she teased is anything to go by, it looks as if the new era of Miley Cyrus could find the pop star leaning into the resurgence of disco infused pop that’s been on the rise over the course of the past year or so.

One thing Cyrus did not reveal was when we might expect to be able to get our hands on new music, so it seems as though we’ll all have to sit tight and wait for her to drop the first single!
