Get ready, Smilers — Miley Cyrus’ Bangerz Tour is headed to NBC in an all new special set to take fans behind the scenes of the pop star’s tour.
Set to air on July 6, NBC’s upcoming two-hour special, Miley Cyrus: Bangerz Tour will give fans a special behind the scenes look at tour stops along Miley’s tour and will additionally examine just what makes the former Disney Channel star such a global phenomenon.
According to NBC, who announced the special on Wednesday, the two-hour extravaganza will follow Miley on tour while she stops at the Paula Sant Jordi in Barcelona, Spain and the MEO Arena in Lisbon, Portugal.
NBC’s president of Altertative and Late Night Programming, Paul Telegdy spoke of the upcoming special saying, “There are few recording artists with the global success achieved by Miley Cyrus — this unique special will offer an exclusive peek on how she engages with her crew and fans at one of her hugely popular concerts.”
The Bangerz Tour marks Miley Cyrus’ fourth world tour. The singer kicked things off in Vancouver, Canada at the Rogers Arena on February 14, 2014 and is set to wrap the series of over 70 tour stops around the world in Australia’s Perth Arena on October 23, 2014.
The Miley Cyrus: Bangerz Tour special is set to air on Sunday, July 6 from 9 p.m. to 11 p.m. on NBC.
