While promoting Insurgent, Miles Teller has been chatting about his upcoming Fantastic Four movie reboot.

It seems like only yesterday we popped down to Blockbuster to rent Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer, somewhere in between waiting in line for Deathly Hallows and the Nintendo Wii. In fact, it was eight years ago. Feel old yet?

Luckily, time stands still in Hollywood, because Fantastic Four is premiering all over again!

All kidding aside, it actually looks pretty entertaining, if the teaser trailer is anything to go by:

Miles Teller, who plays Mr. Fantastic in the new movie, has gotten us even more excited: in an interview with MovieFone, the Insurgent actor says that the reboot will be “taking a lot from Ultimate Fantastic Four,” the modernized re-imagining of Marvel’s original Fantastic Four comic book series.

The trailer (and casting) should already have clued us in on this: the Ultimate versions of the characters are much younger than the originals, and they get their superpowers in a very different way.

Teller does believe that Fantastic Four (2015) will be adding something new to the franchise, saying, “I think we’re humanizing these characters in a way that’s never been done.”

Fantastic Four lands August 5, 2015. It also stars Kate Mara, Jamie Bell, Michael B. Jordan, Toby Kebbell and Tim Blake Nelson.

The movie is directed by Josh Trank, who will soon be helming the Star Wars spinoff.
