Miles Teller and Shailene Woodley have made it a habit of working together on several projects, with Adrift potentially being the next.

The movies include The Spectacular Now, Divergent, Insurgent, and Allegiant.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Adrift may be next. Woodley is already on board to star, with Teller currently in negotiations to join her.

The movie is “based on the true story of a woman who sets off on a sailing trip to Tahiti with her fiance. But after a massive storm, the woman finds herself alone at sea with her boat in ruins. The story, which toggles between the couple’s past courtship and the perilous present, follows her attempts to save herself and the man she loves on a 1,500-mile journey to Hawaii.”

Woodley and Teller will play the two stars of the story. Baltasar Kormakur (Everest) will direct.

There’s been contention for both actors concerning the Divergent movie series, which opted not to put its last installation on film. Instead, it would release the final part of the story as a television show. Woodley and many of the other actors have opted out of returning, considering their contracts were specifically for a theatrical release.

It’s nice to see both actors moving on and pairing up once more.
