Michael Caine turns 83 today, and fans are rolling out their tributes to the esteemed British actor.
Sir Michael Caine has certainly left his mark on history with his powerful and varied roles over the years. Today is his birthday, and the world over is celebrating the iconic man. Whether it was in Zulu and The Italian Job, or Austin Powers and Batman, Caine encompassed his myriad of roles flawlessly.
In fact, Caine has been nominated for six Academy Awards, once every decade from the 1960s to the 2000s, to which only Jack Nicholson can also lay claim. He’s won two Oscars as a result, is considered the ninth highest grossing actor of all time, and was knighted in 2000 by Queen Elizabeth II.
