In what Paul McCartney probably hopes will be an internet sensation, the Beatles superstar has released an interesting music video for a song off his new album New titled “Queenie Eye.”

The “Queenie Eye” music video starts off with McCartney in Abbey Road Studios doing a take of the song on piano with only his producer at the mixer. As he begins to perform the song with a hidden band, more and more stars slowly appear in the studio to dance along. The music video’s story seems to be that these people are appearing only in Paul’s imagination.

Those stars include major celebrities like Johnny Depp (who’s the first star to arrive in front of the piano), Chris Pine, Meryl Streep, Jude Law, Kate Moss, and Jeremy Irons. None of them have speaking lines and spend their time dancing around the studio and piano:

We’re not surprised McCartney was able to round up such a big group of stars. The singer is the definition of “legendary” and no one would say no to a rare favor from the Beatles singer. It feels slightly awkward seeing a bunch of stars appearing to only show off their jam moves, but the video was a fun surprise.

“Being in that room with Paul is quite a rush,” Depp says in a behind the scenes interview (below) “That’s the room that changed the world,” referring to being at Abbey Road.

McCartney’s latest album New was released earlier this month and is the 71-year-old singer’s sixteenth studio album.
