A new Merlin season 5 sneak peek has been released, after which Angel Coulby (Gwen) asks what you’re looking forward to this year!
In the video we see a brief clip from the premiere episode “Arthur’s Bane,” in which Arthur and Merlin watch Gwen walk down the stairs, and Arthur assures his queen that she is not late and that there is “plenty of time” – but judging from the look on Merlin’s face, we’d say that’s probably not the case!
In the premiere episode of Merlin‘s fifth season, two years have passed and Morgana is once again gathering forces in her quest to destroy Arthur and Camelot. Her new allies include Ruadan (played by Game of Thrones actor Liam Cunningham) and a now grown-up Mordred (played by Alexander Vlahos), and already in the first episode of the season, it seems the king and his knights are in trouble.
In another video, the Merlin showrunner Johnny Capps and cast members Angel Coulby and Bradley James preview how the fifth season will differ from the preceding four, stating that the show will be darker and grown up, as the characters themselves are now more adult.
