Liam Neeson could be suiting up to help Tessa Thompson and Chris Hemsworth guard the world from extra-terrestrial violence in Sony’s upcoming Men in Black spinoff.

According to Variety, actor Liam Neeson is currently in negotiations to join the upcoming Men in Black spinoff currently in production over at Sony.

The seasoned action star is set to play the head of MiB’s U.K. agency in a film that’s set to find the good guys dressed in black on a mission that’ll take them all over the world.

Neeson will be joining previously announced cast members Tessa Thompson and Chris Hemsworth, both of whom are coming off of Marvel’s hit superhero flick, Thor: Ragnarok.

Unfortunately, Sony is keeping pretty tight lipped when it comes to both plot details and character specifics.

What we do know is that while the movie is set in the same universe as the original Men in Black. Thompson and Hemsworth won’t be playing updated version of Agents K and J (the characters originally portrayed by Will Smith and Tommy Lee Jones).

Either way, we’ll be looking forward to seeing Thompson and Hemsworth team up together on the big screen again.

And of course, Neeson serves as a pretty great added bonus if we do say so ourselves— we’ll be looking forward to seeing all three of them interact in the upcoming spinoff!

Helmed by The Fate of the Furious and Straight Outta Compton director Gary Gray, Sony’s Men in Black spinoff is set to debut in theaters sometime in June of 2019.
