Just when you thought 2017 couldn’t get anymore 2017. If you happened to be walking along 58th street in New York City today, you were likely treated to the hilarious imagery of Melissa McCarthy’s Sean Spicer driving a podium alongside traffic.
This morning, Gothamist posted the following Instagram video which shows McCarthy as Spicer along with some film crew and, as you might expect, many excited on-lookers along the sidewalk.

It seems that CNN’s own Don Lemon happened to catch the filming as well. The filming took place outside of CNN’s New York City headquarters at the Time Warner Building. Could Sean be heading to CNN to rattle some reporters on their recent coverage of him in the sketch?

Melissa McCarthy will enter Saturday Night Live’s “Five-Timers Club” this weekend when she hosts for the fifth time. McCarthy last hosted SNL in February 2016. She has been nominated three times for a Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Guest Actress in a Comedy Series for her hosting stints. Maybe this weekend will earn her her fourth, especially given how fans have reacted to her now classic impression of Sean Spicer.
McCarthy will host the penultimate episode of SNL this weekend with musical guest HAIM. Next week Dwayne Johnson will host the season finale along with musical guest Katy Perry.
