Fandoms collide! Outlander star Sam Heughan will be romancing Supergirl herself, Melissa Benoist, in a British romance drama.

Deadline reports that Melissa Benoist and Sam Heughan are set to co-star in a drama by Gone an Underworld: Awakening writer Allison Burnett, set at Oxford University in England.

The movie, titled Oxford, is produced by Marty Bowen and Wyck Godfrey. We’ll see Benoist’s character attending Oxford University on a Rhodes scholarship, and falling in love with Heughan’s arrogant teaching assistant.

But when she learns that the object of her affections is dying from cancer, the two of them abandon their studies, aiming to make the most of each day and setting out to travel the world together.

Melissa Benoist is perhaps best known for her role on Glee, but has stood out on the big screen with roles in The Longest Ride and Whiplash. Her new show Supergirl premieres this fall on CBS, and Benoist seems well on her way to becoming TV’s next great heroine.

Sam Heughan, meanwhile, has blown Outlander fans away with his incredible performance as Jamie Frasier. The show returns for its second season in 2016.

If you just can’t wait for Hollywood’s take on Oxford, it might be worth checking out a recent dark drama by Danish director Lone Scherfig titled The Riot Club. The movie stars Sam Claflin, Max Irons, Douglas Booth and Holliday Grainger, and follows a group of male students whose sense of entitlement drives them over the edge.
