Yesterday, Deadline announced that Mel Gibson is “in serious discussion” to join the Machete sequel, Machete Kills.
Gibson will play a supporting role in the sequel, directed by Robert Rodriguez. Danny Trejo will be back to reprise his lead role.
Deadline writes:
In the sequel, Machete is drafted by the U.S. government to track an arms dealer through Mexico before he can launch a rocket.
Michelle Williams is also in talks to star in the film, but no word on any other casting has been announced. As always, we’ll keep you posted!
