On Thursday night’s Tonight Show starring Jimmy Fallon, Lindsay Lohan revealed that Tina Fey is trying to put together a Mean Girls reunion.

Lohan appeared on The Tonight Show to promote her upcoming docu-series on Oprah Winfrey’s OWN Network. When Fallon brought up the fact that it’s been ten years since Mean Girls hit theaters, Lohan revealed the potential reunion.

According to the actress, she and Fey recently discussed the idea and said that Fey and Lorne Michaels (the film’s producer) have spoken about it. Lohan added that she’s definitely interested in the idea if it comes to fruition.

Lindsay didn’t hint at what shape the Mean Girls reunion would take form as. A movie? A Saturday Night Live sketch? Jimmy Fallon said he’d love to have it take place on his show, and we can see that being a realistic option given his show’s audience and his interest in skits.

No matter what happens, Lohan, Rachel McAdams, Amanda Seyfried, and Lacey Chabert would have to be involved.

Fey had said in January 2013 that she was developing a Mean Girls musical, but nothing like that was alluded to tonight.

Mean Girls opened in theaters in April 2004 and went on to become a cult classic. Given that it’s been almost ten years, the time is ripe for a reunion.
