The Gladers in The Maze Runner: The Scorch Trials express their worries and/or confidence in new debriefing videos.

With only three days to go until the release of the Maze Runner sequel, The Scorch Trials, Hypable has five pieces of exclusive “debriefing footage” which shed light on what Thomas and company will encounter.

Although the debriefing footage doesn’t appear within the movie itself, it does offer a unique look at the mindset of the Gladers, proving to be some of the most interesting promo material we’ve seen yet. Watch below:

Now, let’s over-analyze this footage!

The first Glader to be “signed in” to the underground bunker is Minho. Filled with gusto and pride, he makes it known that he’s far from being scared. “Running kept me alive for three years in the maze. I’m not afraid of the scorch,” he says.

Frypan, however, has a different outlook. “If you ain’t scared, you ain’t human,” he says to the camera, calling up one of the more memorable quotes from the James Dashner novel.

“One thing I do know. We need to do something,” says Newt, who is fully aware that there are more questions than answers surrounding their new home:

Newbie Aris is next to share his thoughts about the individuals who have rescued them. “I don’t think anybody ever really leaves this place,” he confesses. “Thomas says WCKD isn’t looking for a cure — they’re pulling it out of us. That’s why they’ll never stop chasing us. We are the cure.” In these remarks he shares both the scary internal fear as well as some decent sized plot information.

Closing the debriefing process is Thomas. “I thought they were taking us somewhere safe. A better place,” he laments. “I’ve been scanned, prodded, tested. These people are not who they say they are. The maze was just the beginning.” That’s an ominous closing sure to hook people in.

The Maze Runner: The Scorch Trials opens in theaters this Friday.
