Director of The Maze Runner, Wes Ball, has shared a new image from the movie and promises there will be more!

On his Twitter yesterday, Wes Ball announced that from now until the release of the Maze Runner movie he will be sharing a new image from the movie weekly! We have the first photo for you below:

The first featured image from the movie is that of Alby, played by Aml Ameen, sitting quietly under a dilapidated structure. Perhaps he’s keeping watch over his fellow Glade members?

On Ball’s Twitter, he goes on to share that the full resolution images will be shared on the Maze Runner Facebook page every week, though the image above hasn’t been posted on the site as of yet.

The Maze Runner film has had a bit of a precarious start. Although initially set to be released February 14 of this year, a surprise announcement came last Fall stating that the movie was being pushed back to September 19, 2014.

Understandably, fans were disappointed in this decision but were given solace in the fact that the studio promised the extra time would give them more room for promotion and buzz for the series.

Dylan O’Brien, the lead actor in the movie, echoed the sentiment, convinced that the extra time for promotion would ultimately be a good thing for the franchise.

Since learning of the delayed premiere there has been little info coming from the Maze Runner camp, so we hope this is just the first in a long line of promotional material the studio is ready to distribute. Many fans are ready to start celebrating and sharing in the excitement for the film.
