During last night’s MTV Movie & TV Awards viewers got their very first look at Maze Runner: The Death Cure.

Are you as pumped as we are to finally get a look at Maze Runner: The Death Cure? We sure hope so.

In the clip below Dylan O’Brien, Thomas Brodie-Sangster, Dexter Darden, and Ki Hong Lee take us behind the scenes as they film The Death Cure, the third installment in The Maze Runner series. So without further ado… Enjoy!

In the clip O’Brien walks us deep through the halls of the WCKD compound. We also hear from Sangster that the entire film is set up as a rescue movie, with both the fictional and real life Maze Runner crew coming together in ways they never have before.

Although there’s no film footage in the clip, we do get an impressive look at what’s in store for the movie. Action, once again, being front in center of this epic little trilogy. (They drop a bus!)

The Death Cure has had a turbulent run over the past year. Back in March 2016 Dylan O’Brien was injured on set and filming was immediately put on hold as they waited for the actor to heal.

Meanwhile, the cast took the down time to go their separate ways and start on other projects. Katherine McNamara is finding success with Shadowhunters and
Rosa Salazar was cast as the lead in Alita: Battle Angel. Even O’Brien himself was able to squeeze in American Assassin before The Death Cure’s new starting date.

Eventually, The Death Cure filming reconvened in February of this year and the movie will now be released on January 12, 2018.
